The Dakota Universal Travel boxes are the ultimate containers for pastel artists on the go! The "Made in USA" quality construction and highly functional design provide a great way to get your pastels into the field and keep them organized for easy use. The boxes are a brief case design with pastels stored on both sides providing a tremendous carrying capacity. Pastels are held in place by foam-cushioned panels that are secured with Velcro for easy fastening and removal.

Each box is constructed of maple and maple ply and has a folding suitcase handle. Both sides of the box have wood interior divisions to help separate pastels. Each of these divided sections has two flat pieces and one die-cut (slotted) piece of foam that are removable. If you choose not to use the die-cut foam, the panels still hold the pastels in place when closed and the pastel carrying capacity of the box is greatly expanded.
The new Compact size fits inside a backpack or suitcase for travel. It's greatest advantage is being half the width, making it much easier to reach across the pastel box while working on your painting!

CARDBOARD PASTEL BOXES

Our two-piece clamshell boxes are white and made from a sturdy .070 weight board. The 24 and 48 boxes come with a slotted foam insert and top & bottom flat foam pieces. The long narrow cardboard box is made to fit in the Soltek easel. This box has two flat foam pieces and no slotted foam.

DAKOTA STUDIO PASTEL TRAY
ORGANIZE YOUR PASTELS AND KEEP THEM CLEAN!

The Dakota Pastel Tray will help keep your studio organized, conveniently store your pastels and keep them cleaner! The tray is made in the USA using light maple hardwood, metal screen and an aluminum catcher pan. Trays are designed to nest on top of each other for stacking when not in use.  Each organizer tray is divided into 8 sections measuring 3 1/4" x 7 1/2". Troughs divide the sections and provide a convenient holder for the pastels you are currently using. The metal screen bottom allows pastel dust to fall through and keep your pastels cleaner! A removable aluminum oven liner catches the pastel dust and can be easily emptied.

DAKOTA DELUXE WOOD BOXES

The Dakota Deluxe Boxes are great studio storage systems that allow easy access to your pastels, help in organization and are portable enough to move around. The Deluxe boxes are handcrafted in USA of maple and maple ply with walnut handles. The drawers are easily removed from both boxes.
DELUXE: The lid (hinged on the short side) flips open to hold one tray of pastels, one tray remains in the main box, and a drawer pulls out from each side making all four trays accessible at the same time.
TOOLBOX: The lid is hinged on the long side and will hold one tray when it is removed from the box providing tiered access to all three trays at one time!
