GIANT TRIPOD EASEL

The Giant Tripod is the studio (or larger portable) version of our very popular Tripod Field Easel. Made of European hardwood, it provides an extra sturdy, stable surface for a pastel box with the versatility of a wide range of height adjustments and painting angles. The canvas or board holder will accommodate up to 36" height (one image shows easel with a 24" x 36" Wallis Board) and adjusts from horizontal to a forward tilt for pastels. Two fold-up shelf brackets (13" long) will support a large pastel box conveniently in front of and below the work surface. The Giant Tripod Easel will easily hold either of our Deluxe Travel Boxes or other pastel storage systems. Fitted with a leather carry handle for transport. The folded size is 42" x 5" x 10" and it weighs 8.75lb

The Tripod Field Easel is a great plein air easel. Made of European hardwood, it provides a sturdy and stable surface for a pastel box and the versatility of a wide range of height adjustments and painting angles. The canvas or board holder will accommodate up to a 27" size and adjusts from horizontal to a forward tilt for pastels. Two folding shelf brackets support a pastel box while two adjustable wood blocks hold it in place. The Tripod Field Easel with either of our Deluxe Travel boxes makes a great Plein Air setup!

M.A.B.E.F. FRENCH EASEL

The Italian manufacturer M.A.B.E.F. makes one of the best versions of the classic French style easels!  This classic design has been a standard "plein air" artist painting tool for years. The French Style Easel is made from Italian beech wood and will hold a maximum height canvas of 34".  This is a very functional easel that is also an attractive piece of studio furniture for work or display.

A foot pedal makes insertion into most ground easy and the adjustable angle allows simple adjustment for maximum shade. The Shadebuddy can be used with any golf umbrella with straight handles up to 1 5/8" in diameter and 6 1/2" long. The holder features rugged construction of powder-coated steel and PVC. The Shadebuddy Umbrella has wind-vented construction and a non-reflective black lining to keep colors true and a reflective silver outer shell to maintain cool shade. GUERILLA PASTEL PAINTER BOX

Guerilla Painter makes an extremely durable pochade (compact, portable painting studio) box for the plein air pastel painter. Pochade boxes are characterized by three elements: a hinged lid that functions as an easel, a palette that slides out to one side and a storage area in the box for paints, brushes and supplies. The lid can be locked in position at virtually any angle to work on. The Guerilla Painter Pastel Box has a leather handle and rubber bumper feet on the bottom and end of the box to protect the surface. Made of strong basswood laminate, stainless steel screws and aluminum hardware. The Guerilla Box is a great tool for staying very compact for travel and painting plein air. The durability, function and compact size of this pochade box, along with the new Easel accessories allowing larger work size, make it a very suitable pastel field kit.
ACCESSORIES:
SLIP-IN EASEL: A super lightweight, white enameled aluminum slip-in easel to hold the painting surface in an elevated position above the box. Allows larger panels or boards to be used!
TELESCOPING EASEL: Super compact telescoping easel attaches to the lid of the Guerilla Box using existing screws. Holds panels up to 20" high. Best used in conjunction with the Slip-in easel.
PASTEL TRAY: Extra durable, double-thick, high impact polystyrene pastel boxes with foam lined bottom and cover that will hold more than 25 full sticks of pastel or many more half or broken size pieces. Three pastel boxes will fit in the body of the Guerilla box (four if slightly modified by removing two screws).
TRIPOD: Three way tilting head with bubble leveler and quick release plate for ease in attaching Guerilla box. The Field Tripod comes with a shoulder bag, two quick release plates, a mini-multi tool and a tripod stone bag. Legs are adjustable for both length and angle with a maximum extension of 54".
UMBRELLA: The Soft Clamp Umbrella kit comes with a special nut to attach to the Guerilla box. The black color cuts down on reflective light. A flexible gooseneck allows for angle adjustment. The umbrella is approximately 32" diameter and 40" tall.
SHOULDER STRAP: A harness leather shoulder strap with nickel-plated trigger clips is available for ease of carrying (6 oz).
