How many sheets of paper is a minimum order?
We have a 5 sheet minimum on sheeted paper orders. You can mix and match brands, sizes and colors to meet the minimum.
What qualifies as a "sheet" of paper?
Paper qualifies as a sheet if it is 18 inches or larger in one direction.
How many sheets do I need to order to get the 10+ quantity discount of 10%?
We offer a 10% discount on orders with 10 or more sheets of the same brand of paper. You can mix the sizes of the papers within the brand for the discount.
How is a package of paper or pad counted toward the quantity discount or the paper minimum?
Packages of paper (ie: 5 pack), and pads count as a "unit". So, if you had 8 sheets of paper and a paper pack, you would have only 9 "units". You would need to order either another pack or pad or another sheet of paper for the quantity discount.

What if you are out of individual pastels on my order?
We do not substitute colors for individual pastels that are not in stock. We generally only back order items that are $25 or more. If your missing pastels add up to less than $25, we do not back order them and they will need to be reordered at a later date. We will notify you of the out of stock pastels on your order.
How do I know what is in a set?
You can access the set content list with a picture of the set online by clicking on the underlined description of the set. Also, we can either fax or email you the set content list for any set that is currently not shown on our website.

How do I get the products in my cart?
When ordering online, you need to check the box and also click the +ADD button next to it. This will put the item in your cart where you can adjust the quantity.
Are the prices the same on the phone as they are online?
We always offer the best price whether you order online at www.dakotapastels.com or by phone at 888-345-0067. We are happy to take your order in either manner that is most comfortable for you.
Can I purchase a gift certificate online?
Yes! You can purchase a gift certificate online. Please go to the gift certificate section and choose your denomination. Denominations include $5.00, $10.00, $25.00, $50.00, $100.00, $150.00, & $200.00. If you need a gift certificate in a different amount, Please give us a call at 888-345-0067.
Do you have a printed catalog?
Yes! You can request a catalog with your order or it can be downloaded by going here. To order a catalog, please go here, or call 1-800-345-0067 extension 3. There is no charge for the catalog.
SHIPPING & RETURNS
How can I get free shipping?
We have a tiered shipping rate. Orders over $300 receive free shipping.
How are the individual pastels shipped?
We package individual pastels in the manufacturers individual boxes or our own foam lined pastel boxes. We bubble wrap the whole order together and place it in a box with packaging paper to keep it from moving around. We take great care to get your pastels to you in great shape.
How is paper shipped?
We ship all paper flat. The paper is wrapped in a plastic bag and taped to a cardboard flat. This flat is then placed in a heavy-duty corrugated box made for shipping our papers. All papers are shipped UPS within the contiguous United States. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and International will be shipped USPS Priority Mail
How can I get my order shipped faster?
We can ship your order UPS Overnight, 2nd Day, or 3rd Day Select. Just mention it in the suggestions box of your online order or tell us when calling in and we will get a quote for you. We always wait for your okay with the quote before processing an expedited order.
How long will it take to get my order?
Our standard method of shipping is UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail. It usually takes 3-7 business days for delivery, depending on where you live in relation to Washington state.
What is your return policy?
We have a 100% guarantee return policy. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your order, you can return it for a full refund or exchange.
How do I make a return?
To make a return, we need a copy of your invoice with a note explaining what you would like us to do. If you don't have the invoice, we need your name, contact information and a note explaining the reason for return and whether you would like a refund or exchange.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
Do you accept international orders? How are they shipped?
Yes! We do accept international orders. Our standard method of shipment to international destinations is USPS Priority Mail International. We will email or call you with a shipping quote for your okay before we ship.
What is the cost to ship internationally?
The cost to ship depends on the weight of the package. We weigh the package and always notify you of the cost to ship before processing your order.
Are there any international taxes or duties?
We only charge the actual ship cost plus our handling fee of $5.00 per order. We do not collect duty and taxes. You will pay that to your package delivery service.
