GATORFOAM 3/16" PAINTING & MOUNTING BOARDS

Gatorfoam is an ideal surface to prime for pastels - great for making plein air boards! It accepts the pastel grounds wonderfully without buckling.
It is also perfect as a framing component - lightweight, archival and non-warping make it ideal as the backing board, particularly for large work.
Gatorfoam is a rugged, durable, warp resistant board with an exceptionally hard, smooth surface that resists dents and blemishes. The core is polystyrene foam bonded on both sides with Luxcell (wood fiber veneers impregnated with resin) facings. Gatorfoam can be painted with acrylic or oil, although it is recommended that the core material (if exposed at the edges) be sealed with an acrylic primer before using a solvent base paint or primer. Gatorfoam is completely archival.

GATORFOAM 1/2" DRAWING BOARDS

The hard smooth surface, durability and weight of the 1/2" Gatorfoam make it an excellent drawing board. The rigid surface will not warp, is resistant to dents and handles repeated application and removal of tape.
