We offer a selection of high quality fixatives in aerosol cans and one in liquid form. All brands work as both workable and final fixes. Spray fixatives are best applied in multiple thin coats rather than one heavy coat to avoid pooling of fixative or over saturating the pastel surface. Fixatives must be shipped via UPS Ground.
SPECTRAFIX PASTEL FIXATIVE
Introduced at the recent IAPS convention, SpectraFix is a casein-based pastel fixative that utilizes milk protein and grain alcohol to provide you with a non-toxic, fully archival fixative for pastels and other works on paper! It holds and protects your work with minimal dulling of colors and because it is All-Natural and Odor-Free you can spray your project indoors while you work. It dries quickly to an invisible matte finish that can be worked over for multiple layering of pastel or as a final protective layer. The environmentally friendly bottle is non- pressurized and recyclable, and utilizes the highest quality Fine Mist Pump Sprayer to easily disperse a cloud of fixative mist over your project. SpectraFix is non-pressurized so it may be transported in checked luggage. The 2oz. Concentrate allows you to get even more compact for travel. Just mix with a colorless alcoholic liquor (Vodka or Everclear) in the Empty Fine Mist Spray Bottle (a compact 1.5" x 6") and you are ready to go!

Perfix is a perfect colorless (non-yellowing) low odor fixative for pastels with minimal color shift. It has the least amount of odor of the fixatives we carry.
