Explore as many different pastel surfaces as Dakota has to offer to see what might be the right fit for you. Brush up on those design and composition skills because you know you could ALWAYS get better at “that stuff”. This workshop will guide you through the fundamentals of good design so that all your work will have “good bones”. Value, color theory, elements vs. principles, armatures, orchestrating, and much more. Even the pros need a ”brush up” now and then!
Learn how to critique your own work with a much more educated eye about design and composition and watch your work take off in a powerful new way. And then explore not only the process and the design elements but dive into what YOU see as an artist and where YOUR voice is unique and special. Morning lecture and exploratory studio time.
Afternoon plein air and exploratory time to paint your heart away.
A workshop guaranteed to make you a better painter …and have some fun doing it.
Classes meet daily from 9am to 4pm unless otherwise noted.
