"Finishing touch"
Really have enjoyed using these for some finishing touches. Works well in abstract works, underpainting in a sky, waves, highlights in water. A little goes a long way. Split the set with a friend so you can both explore and enjoy. They go down really smooth on sanded paper but have more grit that the Great American pastel I also have tried. The black is more of a charcoal.

"Worth getting"
This set is inexpensive, and offers some lovely dark tones to complement your art. The Iridescent look comes from embedded mica, and is more glittery than iridescent when used on sanded paper. It also makes for a somewhat gritty texture.
