"Bad Design"
I bought this box several years ago and the first time I used it for a plein air session it failed miserably. When packing up my pastels I put the tops on the plastic interior boxes, but when I went to shut my box the tops fell off and my pastels ended up on the ground. The ledge that is supposed to hold the lids on are so tiny that it just doesn't work. I replaced it with a small Dakota box and have been extremely happy with it. The Dakota lid attaches securely.

Awesome box, will hold quite a bit. Individual containers inside are well designed and will safely transport pastels. Washable foam padding included to pamper your most fragile pastels.
