Beautiful colors! But unacceptable for pastel work! Nothing about the paper grasps the pastel, it smears right off. Applying a light coat of Spectra Final Fix to attempt to seal the initial layer only caused the pastel to run and the paper to buckle. This material would be appropriate for pencil, ink, Tombow pens, not full coverage pastel, nor a very wet medium .

"Like the surface."
I am an equal opportunity tryer-outer. My usual paper is Hahnemuelle Ingres Antique. It has a forgiving, erasable surface, but is 18 lbs. This paper is heavier, has two surfaces aand no sand. Dragging over the rough surface gives a attractive stipple under color. Pastel pencil is the best. Regular charcoal is also great and the hard surface allows finger smearing. If you don't like what you did, it erases.
