Nice soft pastels. Good range of colors Very long so I will have to cut them to fit my box but that's a plus in that I will have the other half for refills

Using as my travel set, augmented with some other pastels. Seem soft and highly pigmented.

Vibrant colors that will add interesting highlights but too many odd shades, not as soft as I would like and packaged randomly. They might be best for adding a little pizzazz but I don't think I'd use them for a complete painting.

I bought these on close out because I like the brand for other products. They come in individual boxes and they are not coordinated by color at all, so the first thing I did was switch them around to their color family. Then I had to find a box in which to store them. When I began to use them, I found them covered almost entirely with paper. When I began to peel away the paper, they simply broke, so ultimately I will end up with lots of pieces. My initial attempt to use them was on LuxArchival paper and I simply couldn’t make them work for me on that paper. I think I need to give them more of a chance, but it is probably going to be that peeling the paper will just be too much because it is so difficult to remove. They will end up in a drawer full of broken pastels to be used only when I find a color I need. I think it is wise to buy better brands and not take a flyer on something only because it is a bargain.

Thought I was getting a close out bargain. You get what you pay for. I do not like the color selection nor the quality. Also dislike the packaging which is not at all useful. I have always been satisfied with Dakota’s products until now. Very disappointed.

This was an amazing bargain. I bought 2 sets. They arrived, as usual, carefully packaged and soon after the order was complete. Only one little detail was off .. There was one stick missing from one of the packs of 4. Not a big deal. Stuff happens.

I really am very pleased with my purchase of the Koh-I-noor full pastel set. The sticks have an old school feel that makes me happy. The colors are forthright and honest. I’m only sorry that they are going away!

i have not tried them yet, but when i took them out of the box i had 8 broken sticks that broke at the end of the paper wrapping. I had to use them to grind them into reused sticks. . i plan to use them soon.

Quite a good deal! Value range: not so great, but the color intensity is lovely. Arrived perfectly- well packaged, no breakage!

I really liked the vibrancy of the colors. I have to use them a little more often on a variety of papers to really experience these pastels. They are a very nice addition to my 'stock'!
