Awesome violets and blues. There usually isn't any picture I finish that doesn't have one of these colors in it.

This a really lovely set of warmer purples. The sticks are hearty & layer well. I look forward to painting flowers with them. While I should know this by now, what you see on your screen may not be a true rendering of the colors in the box. I was expecting the farthest to the Left to be a cooler Blue Violet fading to Periwinkle. They are not. They are what I would call a pure purple ranging to lavender. And then the rows get ever warmer ranging to an almost deep mauve. When planning my intended painting, I was expecting to use more of this box (thus the investment). When they arrived, then had to regroup and experiment by layering with my Terry Ludwig & Sennelier Blues. The best news is that these are not repeats of what I have and that even though i didn't get what I expected, they are a GREAT addition to expand my palette.

This set of Mt. Vision violets arrived in excellent condition and are a great addition to my pastel palette.

Beautiful new violets!

I love Mount Vision pastels and have several sets. The colors and values in the violets are gorgeous! Service from Dakota Arts is always top notch. My only complaint here is with the Mount Vision packaging. The box is an awkward elongated shape of packaging cardboard which cannot really be used for any length of time. Pastels must be stored elsewhere. I have called the company about this to no avail.

Very good pastels cover and blend easily. I need to get more pastel samples to try out. I am looking for soft pastels and to buy a large set for my artwork

Love Mount Vision pastels. Out of the set, 3 were broken. They were all at the left end and were beside each other. I’m always pleased with Dakotas products, attitude and service. They get a 5 Star from me.

This is truly beautiful set. I was so impressed with the color selection that I began using them the day they arrived. I am very happy with the results.
