The best EVER portrait colors!!

Love the pigments. Although it is a portrait set, I find the combination very useful for the Red Rocks. Also initial use with square edges works well to define edges in work.

The color selection seems great , in initial testing their texture and ease of use is outstanding but I have not used them yet for full image.

I love these pastels, the softness and depth of color fit my style of painting. My only problem is that I had bought this set before and didn't realize it till the set arrived. Don't really mind since I will use this set eventually

I made a color chart for this 21 sick set and was so impressed with their creamy texture and lovely colors. I'm looking forward to using them.

I also bought the Nomad set- and when I got them I thought I'd made a mistake to get this set- but when I sat down to use them I found my hand going over to this box and now I really like both sets. I like to do portraits so this is great along with the other sets I got.

very creamy and rich shades

Great selection of portrait colors. Usuble for many skin tones. I find them to be just a bit too powdery but will work on a good quality paper.

Needs some more orange tints, shades and tones.

I love Blue Earth pastels

These pastels are beautifully smooth and soft . I like the way they’re packaged according to value and the smaller than usual size of pastel accommodates my style .

Excellent choices for a sampler I particularly like the consistency of the sticks from color to color. The method of presentation with the stick set into square holes is unique and very useful

Soft and very creamy kind of like a sennelier but better and great because of the sharp edge since its a rectangle. will buy blue earth when needing this type of pastel

love the soft creaminess of the pastels love who they are in hues... but the packaging is so that it is difficult to remove the top protective foam with out breaking some of the pastels before even using as I did. Plus, I also broke some of my new pastels trying to remove them from the foam. The pastels are amazing...the packaging lead people like me with arthritic hands, to having difficulty removing the pastels with out damaging them... Very heart breaking to crush a new pastel before you even use it :( The pastels themselves I LOVE

I am very surprised how wonderful this pastel is. I am not a very skillful painter but my first portrait with these pastel looks like a photo. Colors are so truthful. This is amazing! I am going to order more.
