    "Fabulous hard pastels"
    NuPastels are the greatest hard pastels. These create really special marks on your artwork.

    ""Must have" detail tools"
    The price is reasonable for the full set which is a basic "Must Have" for your studio. I recommend packing some limited pieces for painting en plein air to capture/ highlight fine details and I create a customized limited palette to augment my pastels to take to weekly portrait group. (They layer and "sculpt" nicely!)

    "Great hard pastels"
    I have ordered Nupastels several times. They are great for underpaintings, which I wet, plus detail work in later layers. Highly recommend Nupastels!! (And just wish they continued to sell individual sticks!!)

    I am beginning how much I rely on the NuPastels for several tasks. However, two problems remain: 1) I use some colors a lot more than others. We need to be able to buy these as individual sticks (not Dakota's fault, I know). 2) It would be great if there were a better array of neutrals available.

    I’ve used this brand exclusively for years really like them! I just wish they sold individual sticks but probably too pricey in the shipping I suppose.

    Love the NuPastel Set ! I'm a beginner and don't have all the pastel colors I need. The NuPastel Set helped me fill in with the colors I needed and don't yet have in soft pastels.

    "Love the size and colors"
    I needed some hard pastels and these fit the bill perfectly. Although some were broken through shipping. I wanted to keep these whole so I can use as pencils. No fault of DP. UPS been very hard on packages lately. Kinda bummed about that. But the pastels and DP are AMAZING. Thank you:-) Kirk

    "NuPastel 96 Full Set"
    I love Nupastels for underpainting in particular, drawing in the painting, and when a fine, sharp, line is needed. It does the job beautifully along with the soft pastels. Thank you!

    This is my second large set of NuPastels. They are terrific. Brilliant color, nice hard pastels for underpainting and fine detail. Very pleased. Recommend them to my students as well.

    "I love this set for plein air sketches"
    I like the sets of Nupastel better than individual stick becuse the have no labels, which is a problem to get off on the individuals. Also I love the large numbers of colors for the price. Good for plein air sketches since you can pack a large number pastels in little space. They also do not fill up the paper so can easily add soft pastels later. And finally, very economical.
