Panpastels offer a nice variety of colors, but I am finding they are more “putsy” than the soft pastels. Dabbing and having to repeatedly return to the pan makes for a slower process for underpainting than swiping with the soft pastel sticks and then applying alcohol. Also, I found that I wanted some colors that weren’t available. Going over with my soft pastels, I was able to get what I wanted to achieve. These are new to me, so I will keep experimenting.

This collection of colors gives me the choices I want to make bright art with pan pastels, a favorite medium. Delivery was quick and I got started on a project right away. Great prices too.

This is actually my 2nd set of Pans-and as I love Vibrant colour- it is my favorite so far! They lay down easily, and are just like butter to work with! LOVE THEM!
