Beautiful book

For 77 year old lady, just starting out reading everything I can get my hands on, Pastel Inovations is wonderful and the excersises are fairly easy to understand. It will take me a while to digest all of this, but I look forward every week to learning and doing something new. Thank you Dawn for the book and your video presentations.

I'm sure the more advanced artist will appreciate some of the unusual techniques in this book. However, the average artist will probably never go there. I expected more down to earth kind of tips and am truly disappointed. I will not recommend this book. Heidelinde Crislip, we are truly sorry that you did not enjoy this book. This is an inspiring book. The author makes you forget about 'perfect drawing' & gets you excited about simply making marks. The first exercise I did (4 pears) is one of the most lively & interesting pieces I've ever done. I can't recommend this book enough--it will bust you out of any ruts you've fallen into, that's for sure. (I encourage all Dakota customers to start reviewing at least ONE item per visit to the website. There are ZERO reviews anywhere & that's pathetic.)
