    "Bold and Beautiful"
I love these gritty blocks- you can make sturdy strokes and really embolden your composition.

    "Very Bright"
I bought these because of the name of the collection: Fauve. Did not disappoint, they are very bright. I have used them for underpainting.

    "Diane Townsend terrages sets"
Over the past year I have purchased a number of of Diane Townsend terrages sets. Adding the Fauve and Wolf Kahn colors rounds out my tools.

    "Luscious for gestures"
Simply this: Colors that make your fingers tingle at the first touch, and pushes your arm Into a swing rotating from your shoulders as your hips twist. Excellent tools for ripping your preconceived notions of color harmonies. Yep, they are good.

    "So fine"
The best of color to highlight, use alone. Just beautiful colors with great application.

    "Bring Back the Old Formula!"
I've enjoyed Terrages for several years. I love the rich colors and the chunky feel. I've read that Diane recently altered her formula to reduce dust and increase adherence. Imagine my chagrin when my order of 12 Fauve colors arrived with three colors (159, 144 and 53) already crumbled beyond use, and a fourth (149) that crumbled as I removed it from its nest! Certainly no longer the tool for my gestural abstracts. Boo!

    "Vivid, Gorgeous Colors"
I purchased this set, and the Matisse set, for a class, Fun With Matisse. The colors offered are gorgeous - vivid and well-matched to many hues Matisse used during his Fauve period. Pastels move beautifully on my sanded paper.
