< BACK TO COMPETITION FRONT PAGE Congratulations 2023 Dakota Pastel Contest Finalists! Congratulations to the 2023 Dakota Pastel Contest Winners! And to everyone who entered, hats off to you. It takes great courage to put yourself out there and, as our jurors agree, the number of worthy paintings from which to choose is tremendous. In our 4th Year of the competition, we've seen stunning work from hundreds of artists. As usual, the Emerging category outweighing the Established pool by a wide margin, with a mix of returning competitors and new names from around the world. To us, this just goes to show that the diversity of pastelists eager to be recognized for their skill & hard work is continually growing. We're pleased to amplify those artistic voices and encourage you on your journey. A Big Thanks to our team of Jurors for the 2023 Contest: Debora Stewart, Aaron Schuerr, Nancie King Mertz, and Daniel Keys. We recognize the time and effort it takes to view so many entries and the difficulty of making the final selections.
