These pastel pencils work well to help create an under painting for soft pastel and can be used to put in small details such as faces.

"Pastel pencils"
I tried the pastel pencils once and was very satisfied with how they performed. I think I prefer Caran d’ Ache to Bruynzeel, which I have used for years.

"Pastel Pencils"
These deeply colored, soft pastel pencils are a very fun addition to my work in soft pastels. They work really well for details, and I also have fun making an unexpected line here and there!
