Enjoyed the paper. The surface to me was very user friendly.

"Fantastic surface, beautiful color for Portraits"
Since I started using La Carte Sienna, years ago, it has become one of my most treasured surfaces that I go to again and again. The vegetable coating sanded surface holds the pastel beautifully. The stock is heavy, so you don’t have to mount onto a board. Encourage fellow pastellists to give all the La Carte surfaces a try. But this is a favorite. Some artists worry that La Carte “chews up” their pastels. I don’t worry about this at all, have made so many paintings using this surface and my Terry Ludwig pastels are still going strong! And I say, go ahead and use them up! Make beautiful paintings, sell or enter into shows, make some money and buy a few more. Dakota takes special care to make sure La Carte ships safely, appreciate that so much.

"Forgiving Surface"
I recently painted a portrait on Sennilier la Carte paper.
My favorite surface has been UArt . The laCarte paper
accepts many layers without becoming resistant to more
pigment. I want to work in layers on people portraits so la Carte is my new "go to" surface. It's especially nice for a beginner like me who makes mistakes and needs to rework the surface.
