    "I like it"
    I don't know what else to say. You can see some of my work at the Paradise Pond website. Its a good dark.

    "Daringly Dark"
    If you are in need of a good daringly dark pastel, not black but beautifully dark, in a soft stick, this is excellent. I probably won't use it too much because I use harder Pastels in those initial dark layers, but for a soft pastel that is richly dark without being black, this is wonderful

    "Dark viloet"
    Very dark. Darkest pastel I have that’s not black. I love the smoothness and am anxious to give it more than just a test.

    "Absolutely Gorgeous Color"
    Schminke pastels are my absolute favorite. It's like painting with chocolate. I bought this violet to paint a black bird and it was perfect. The dark almost black purple helped me achieve the beautiful depth and iridescence black bird feathers have.

    "right size"
    I like the size of the pastel stick, i always cut it in half, and the half stick is great. Whenever i cut the Ludwigs in half, bthey always turn into round basketballs, whereas the Dakota Voilet remains like a stick that i can use to make broad strokes.

    "Another rich dark!"
    I think this color will come in very handy--an extreme dark with a little warmth in it. It will be useful to have another choice for deep shadows.

    "dark but not black"
    To give a painting POP, and vibrancy, put the lightest light against the Dakota Violet.

    "Excellent deep dark violet"
    This is a beautiful color, deep and rich and highly pigmented. I am extremely pleased Schmincke offered this stick - it is now a staple in my palette. Just hoping this is a permanent addition to the Schmincke pastel collection!
