    "Wonderful for Plein Air."
    I've been using Pastel Premier for a while now. Best I've used. Then Dakota Pastels came out with the paper in a block like watercolor blocks. Much better for plein air pastel work. Put the block in the bag and when you get to your site, put the block on your easel. Nice!!!!

    I loved the color (clay) and the texture of this paper. It is heavy weight but unlike pastel mat it does not come curled up on the edges. Same grit as a Uart paper.

    "Pastel Premier Blocks"
    Concept is good but the surface is much rougher that the usual 400 grit. Will keep working with it since I’ve only tried it once plein air but not the surface I love.

    "Convenient"
    A perfect travel companion for plein air painting. I was already a fan of this paper, so I was pleased when these blocks became available. Very convenient with no need to bring tape and boards on outings.
