These are super soft and lay down on sanded Uart paper well. Anxious to try them in an actual picture, not just a test drive.😉

I have wondered about Schmincke —just how soft and buttery are they? I have the Paris Sennelier 1/2 stick set and I must say, for me, they are quite similar in regards to the soft buttery feel and how they go on a painting. I just got them and using them for the first time for finishing touches. They are terrific. The colors are beautiful and the 18 stick set is a great way to dive into Schmincke.

I LOVE these pastels. The colors are beautiful, while the consistency is soft buttery smoothness. These are the very, very soft pastels, so be aware that they will crumble and break if not handled with much care. The olive green in this particular set is going to be one I will not want to be without. I am glad I was able to try these without the expense of a full sized set, but I can definitely see that I will want more.

I was and am amazed that they are exactly what I imagined them to be. Great colors.

Wonderful pastels . Very creamy

This is my first time using Schmincke Soft Pastels. I wanted to get a set of these pastels for quite some time but they were expensive and they usually come in the big stick which I don't like; I prefer the half stick. Then received an advertisement from Dakota Art Pastels, where I have purchased many of their pastel sets, especially the boxes with the Samplers. This set has a very good price for the quality of the pastels. Beautiful colors. I know I will continue buying them. Dakota has great selection of pastels and their service is exceptional.
