The color selection if you do animals is lovely. And the unison sticks are amazing butter soft so use a soft touch. Very pleased with my purchase!

I love them! They came perfectly packaged and intact. And I love the color assortment, as they are wonderful for my animal portraits.

Hard to give a fair review as I am new to Soft pastels. I have used the pastel pencils and Panpastel but wanted something that would have better coverage and colours that would pop on the paper. So without knowing about other brands of soft pastel, I can say that I am not disappointed at all with this set. The colours are perfect, I love how smooth they are and how well they blended. Definitively will buy more.

I still have a lot to learn about pastel painting, but the few artist quality brands I've tried are noticeably better than the student (store brand) grade pastels I've tried. As I enjoy doing paintings of animals, I was happy to try the Colbert collection - I've watched several of her YouTube videos. Each of my small collections of artist grade pastel brands performs a little differently - and that is part of the fun of learning how to paint. Unison is a brand I will continue to use. The half stick sets are a good value.
