    "Art Spectrum in Prussian blue"
    Was hoping this pastel would be a replacement for my dark blue NuPastel that is no longer available in single sticks. It's not. It was very scratchy and did not apply to the paper as I would have liked. I prefer Rembrandt over Art Spectrum.

    Art spectrum makes top quality pastels! I just regret not buying the softer varity.

    Nice dark red, not as soft as the new soft darks, but it's big and covers well

    "D517 much smaller than before"
    Positive: It is very dark and soft, I reordered after using up the others. Negative: It's so tiny. They cut uit way down. Very disappointing,, like when you go to the grocery store to buy coffee, the price is raised, and the size is smaller.

    "Deep Purple"
    Art Spectrum 520D Flanders Blue Violet is a deep purple, almost black. The texture of the stick is hard enough not to grumble under pressure and soft enough to allow for a variety of applications.

    "great product"
    I love Art Spectrum pastels. I bought a starter set last year and have run through most of the colors. I recently purchased individual sticks to replace my favorites from the starter set. These pastels are firm, yet soft and lie very nicely on all forms of pastel paper, both commercial and hand made. The colors are brilliant and pure. Best product for the price!

    I wanted a medium pastel and it meets my needs. Colors on line helped me select the colors I wanted.
