Best pencils I’ve tried so far.

I have used Stabilo for over 30 years, thought I would give these a try. I am very pleased with them. The color range seems to fill in where the Stabilo is weak(flesh tones). They are comparable with Stabilo in quality. They feel like they may be slightly softer than Stabilo but do not crumble under stress. They sharpen wonderfully, and transfer to the ground with finesse. Highly recommend-although they are not made in Holland, as is printed on the heel of the pencil but in the Czech Republic.(absolutely love the cardboard case with drawers).

These colors are intense! There is a full range of lights, darks, along with black, white and gray. Can’t wait to use them!

I was very pleased to receive the set of 48 Bruynzeel Pencils I ordered from Dakota Pastels. They are packaged in a strong box with four pullout foam padded drawers. This pretty well guarantees that they will not have broken or damaged pastel cores in the pencils. The color range is very different from other sets which is a real plus that gives me additional colors within my pastel pencil pallet. The pastels have enough binder to allow sharpening without breaking and work well when adding small detail to a painting.

I have lots of experience with all the pastel pencils except Bruynzeel's, so when I saw them on sale I decided to give them a go. To provide some context my order of go to for pencils is 1. Carbothello & Derwent, 2. Caran d' ache and Conte, 3. Creta Color (great line of color - hate the wood around the color pia to sharpen). I can honestly say that these Bruynzeels are going to be right up there with my Carb's and Derwent's. They are nice and soft and sharpen great in my Afmat sharpener! Also, the colors appear to be a true match to the printed color chart.

Great quality pencils!!.. Great selection of pastel colors .i like how I can use them as dry blended or smudged .You can use your fingertips or a blending stump.Very bendable and high workable.. I love them..

At first I had just bought a couple to try them out and I was so pleased with them I ordered the whole 48 piece set. These pastels are creamy smooth and go down on the paper like silk, they blend very well with each other and other types of pastel pencils. A great range of colors, some very vibrant! I would recommend these to beginners and pro's alike, they are a very good product!!

l really enjoy working with these pencils. Great colours, smooth application and good for working on finer details, such as portraits and botanical art.

I am amazed at the quality of these and the striking value for what i paid. vivid wonderful colors in an excellent case and arranged in superb order of color and hue. They blend really well too. will buy these from now on i do believe. They are soft but not weak when using. have not sharpened any yet but we all know pastel pencils need extra care to maintain a fine point regardless of the brand.

After a delayed delivery due to bad weather that crippled UPS, I have to say that these pencils were well worth waiting for. I had a chance to use them today...they are softer than any pencil I have, and blend well. Colors are nice, however I needed a very dark green and there was none. They are boxed beautifully!

I had never used this brand of pastel pencil before, but I am quite pleased with them. They are a great addition to my studio.
