    "What I was looking for"
    I am very happy to have found what I was looking for without the trouble of supply issues and or selection. I must add packing of all orders I have placed is exemplary: never haphazard, never damaged by shipping and always prompt.

    "Really good!"
    Cretacolor has a reputation for lightfastness. (This varies with Nupastel, and it's difficult to find the information.) Cretacolor offers open stock, helpful for classes. (Nupastel stopped doing this as of ~2018.) Texture: A little more crumbly than Nupastels. Blending: Is good on Strathmore 400 Tan paper.

    I enjoy using Cretacolor because of the variety of colors and I can order my favorites instead of the entire set. Schmicke are my favorite soft pastels. Dakota service is great and always helpful kind which is much appreciated.

    Creta colour ws suggested as a replacemnt for the discontinued Nu Pastel and it is an excellent choice. Good and fast delivery

    "Beautiful Shipment Packaging!"
    Great product, and I wanted to give kudos to Dakota pastels for a beautiful job with packaging my shipment. Everything was extremely well protected within the box, except for one thing: the one corner edge of the Individual sheets of pastel paper was slightly rubbed off. Barely noticeable. And it was only on the edge. Just beautiful packaging! Thank you!

    My Cretacolor Individual stick pastels arrived in great shape not one broken. The delivery was fast also. I will be placing my second order in 2 weeks.

    "Trying for the first time"
    After losing Nupastel (they quit offering open stocks) I needed new hard pastel options, so I ordered several from Cretacolor open stock. They seem to be even harder than Nupastel. Still can't find the dark deep blue like the one Nupastel has. Keep looking!

    I love this color and the texture of these pastels. But this is not a match for blue spruce prismacolor. It is more purple and lighter.

    "Not a fan"
    I usually buy NuPastel for my hard pastel needs but tried a Cretacolor hard pastel on a recommendation. Not a fan. The stick was harder than the NuPastel and didn't lay down as much rich color. I'll stick with NuPastels in the future

    "Cretacolor hard pastels"
    Consistent texture and a price that's less than a third of my other favorite brand of hard pastel. What more could I ask for. I also like that Dakota offers individual sticks of these and many other pastels. A lot of online retailers make you buy them by the box which is really hard on the budget.
