    "Highly pigmented"
I ordered this set because it looked like it had a great selection of colors compared to many curated sets. The colors are gorgeous, and so highly pigmented. There are some really nuanced and unique shades that I truly love. The sticks feel nice, break cleanly, and go on very smooth. Most of all, I am impressed by the high pigmentation. It’s very noticeable, and colors layer beautifully. VERY HIGH QUALITY.

    "Smooth Pastels"
These are wonderful pastels. They move on the paper or sanded board so easily and don't get my hands as dusty as some other soft pastels. Love them.

    "Yummy!"
These Pastels are worth every penny. The colors are so yummy, and there's a well thought out selection of them as well. I thought they would be harder than they are, like Rembrandt, but the are softer and the color moves so well on the paper. I only used them for about an hour. I can't wait to spend more time with them. They're so yummy!

    "Girault 100 Mowry Landscape A&B"
I just received these and have been testing them on Pastelmat. I usually use UArt 500 and haven't used them on it yet. These pastels are buttery, yet hard enough not to fill the tooth quickly. I love the shape and size. They are easy to break without crumbling and leave much less residue on my fingers. They are pricey, but well worth it for their versatility. I will buy more of them open stock.

"Girault Pastels are unlike any others!"
Wonderful that Dakota carries such a vast selection of this high end pastel. They are unique in that they are dustless, lay down deep color, don’t crumble, firm enough that one can draw with them using edge or side for larger stroke. The color selection is vast. I suspect one of the largest selections avail in pastels. They are a historic French line. Mowrys sets are gorgeous. Not inexpensive but worth it! Dakota has best prices on Girault and I prefer to support smaller retailers.
