I love Giraut Pastels. This is my 3rd set. I love them for the quality and texture and what I use them for in my paintings. These are absolutely gorgeous. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because there are numerous repeats in this set that I could live without. I will however be able to place some of them in my plenAir kit. Too many repeats but stunning darks especially the dark green and blue.

I really like these pastels for small details - thin tree branches, reeds, window frames. etc.

I absolutely love this brand of pastel. The flesh tones are the most complete of all the brands I have. Although this is a dustier pastel, and some would consider “harder” they by no means perform as anything but a soft pastel. They transfer to the ground effortlessly and possess a deep and rich color saturation. If you are a portrait pastelist, these are the ticket. There is a reason I always saw these on Daniel Greenes taboret.

Creamy, with a smooth and effortless application. Great color choices. Worth the price!
