    "Great American"
    Beautiful set of 18 half sticks. Just love the colors and how they glide on the paper and blend beautifully.

    "I fell in love"
    Nice vibrant colors, flat sides for scrumbling, wider than other square brands, and they were soft enough to be very usable without crumbling in my hand. The majority of the past went onto the surface of my work, not my hands, etc. I look forward to getting additional colors soon. Dakota Arts has fabulous sales and I will be watching for Great America to fill out my set.

    "dry and crumbly"
    i thought the were soft based on artists comments. i used them as soon as i got them and found them to be crumbly. A third of the color blue is now in bits and powdery. i am really disappointed.

    I am completing my stock of Great American pastels, which I love using. The colors are like no other and I use them with every work I do.

    So far, I've only used these a couple times in the field, but the range seems really good. More trials to come, always happy with Great American

    "Great american half sticks try me assorts"
    I love the colors and size; some of the sticks are somewhat grainy (Santa fe) and the thickness varies. Still due to the great colors and the quality of the other stucks i give it a 4 of 5.

    I love all these sets. Recommended them to anyone as they are buttery soft with gorgeous hues.
