    I really like these pastels. In general I like softer pastels. I can control by pressure how much is laid on the paper and still get those juicy ending marks all from the same pastels

    I had not tried this brand of Pastels before. I absolutely love them! Wonderful intense colors!

    "Perfect set of Values . . ."
    across the hue from the apparently black to the softest shade of grey. The "black" is really a deep rich purple that enriches shadows found in the woods. And I like the way they lay down, from just barely touching the surface to an intense presence with increased pressure.

    "Vivid colors"
    Needed violet shades and this half-stick set fit my need perfectly. Colors are great...lovely shades and hues. Also, I previously purchased the blues and greens in half-sticks and all were great selections.

    "Great American Half set, purple"
    This is the first time I've used Great American pastels - I'll absolutely be buying more. I love Terry Ludwig's pastels and these work and feel like a close second - especially the half sticks. This set provides a beautiful range of purple, from light to dark. A must-have for any collection!
