    "Flattman pastels"
    I love the texture and colors of these Great American pastels. However, they are quite brittle and dusty and arrived chipped and broken. It seems that the weight of the pastels against one another shifted the spongy protective material and instead of being in a straight line, they were pushed together between the sponge. This must have been caused by careless handling in shipping. I took a workshop with Flattman and noticed that his box of pastels were chipped and dusty as well.
