    "This is the best"
Most sprays darken your colors. This one does not. I rarely use finishing spray but when I do, this is the one.

"It does not darken the pastel"
Well, it’s expensive but truly worth the price to me because it does not darken the pastel. Over the last 20 years I have used 4 other highly rated fixatives that all darken. I use soft pastels on luxe archival, pastel board and suede mat board.

    "Recommended"
This product was recommended when I attended a workshop at Dakota. It is somewhat expensive but worth it. This is my second can. When used as a final fixative the colors of your pastel do not change. (At least to my eye, which the one that matters) It doesn't stop all movement but do not believe there is a product that will do that. It does help a lot to use the fixative prior to framing.

    "Lascaux Fixative"
Spray all my finished pastels with this. It dries clear and quickly and keeps me from getting the pastel on me. It allows me to frame my pastels without spacers and is great when shipping pastels.

    "Liked one, bought two more"
Craig at Dakota Pastel Co was very helpful, made a suggestion for me to use Lascaux fixative for my somewhat unorthodox method of applying pastels, and it worked beautifully. So I bought more of it. Plus it arrived within days of ordering. Thank you, thank you!

"Love this spray especially for pastel"
It will not change the color of your pastel. I will finish off my work with it. It is so worth the money and a little goes a long way.

    "Best pastel fixative"
Does not alter the color of your painting! Use in a well-ventilated area.

    "My Go-To Fixative"
This is my go-to fixative for every single pastel that leaves my studio. The fine mist spray covers gently without changing any colors so I can spray with confidence (from at least 12" -18" away). I hold the painting upright and spray it 3-4 times, turning the painting sideways and upside down to fix the pastel crystals in all directions. Dramatically reduces residual dust. A fantastic product.

    "thumbs up"
I am really happy with this product. It dries very quickly so I don't have a long wait for the next layer, and it doesn't wash out my delicate little smudges like some other products do. It also has a lot less odor than some others I have tried.

"Great product when used as directed!"
In the past, I've used Lascaux Fixative with mixed results. After consulting with local pastel artists who swear by it, I decided to try again. Turns out the keys are: proper distance, and "a light touch." I also made a makeshift "spray cabinet" with some leftover board scraps and took care to spray my pastel painting horizontally, not standing over it, also taking care to adhere to distance recommendations. Perfect results!

    "worth the money"
I got this because the product info said it would not darken my pastel work. I sprayed three lite coats on it without any changes and I resistant to smudging.

    "Wonderful Product"
I don’t often use fixative, but when I do Lascaux has been the one I use. It works well on all types of papers to secure the pastel. My students that use Canson paper and tend to overfill the tooth are delighted to know they can recover some tooth by using a fixative that helps them recover some of it without darkening the pigments.

    "Not my favorite!"
I am a pastel artist. This fixative did not have the results I was hoping for. I did light sprays 6 times and the pastel colors still came off with light touch. It also changed the color of my picture a bit.

    "Terrific Fixative!"
This is absolutelt the best fixative I've tried and I only need two coats to seal my colored pencil or pastel artwork. It doesn't change the colors I put down and the smell dissipates within 15-20 minutes. Other sprays take a lot longer for the smell to leave a room

    "Great Product"
This is definitely the best thing since sliced bread 🤪 I absolutely does not change the color of your pastels! Once I put it on very thick by mistke and it did change them a bit but not significantly. You can put many thin layers to great effect. It increases the tooth and seals the pastel to a great degree. I can’t say enough good things about this product!

    "best fixative"
I only use Luscaux fixative. It doesn't darken the pastels when applied.

    "Great product"
I heard about this product on a pastel website and felt I needed to try it. So glad I did, this product exceeds expectations. Doesn’t alter color. It’s expensive compared to other fixatives, but so worth it.
