I had a can of Latour on my shelf for a few years before using it to fix some graphite drawings. Wow! Worked great! Because of the results on my drawings, I have no qualms about using Latour to fix my soft pastels paintings, which up to now I’ve not fixed…just got them under glassine or glass as soon as I could to preserve. Spraying the pastels with Latour before going under glassine or glass is okay to do now that I’ve seen light spraying with Latour produces no drips or spots or discoloring

This is my favorite because of its low odor. It takes several coats but the low odor is the most important aspect along with undetectable color shift to me.

Latour is the best fixative I have used. I’ve tried three others so far and been disappointed at best. Latour preforms very well, you get what you pay for! I recommend it to anyone who is tired of ruined paintings.

I have been using this product on my pastel paintings for many years and am still very satisfied with it. One thing to note is that it must be shaken very well before spraying just as the directions advise. Then I am always happy with the results. I would recommend it to others and, in fact, have often done so.

I absolutely love this light fixative for a final spray over my completed pieces. It’s a great dust settler. It doesn’t change the color of the pastel...you can over saturate with this spray, dries very quickly. I’ve used it during and after. Great product!

I like this his fixative because it doesn't yellow, holds the pastel well, and can be used to add tooth in a pinch. Also, it's a good price, comparatively speaking.
