    "Nice set of Pastels!"
    Excellent service from Dakota. Order shipped quickly. Was packaged well. And .... no broken pastels in the box! I like to do this myself, rather than allow UPS to decide how many pieces my pastels should be! The colors were just perfect for my work. Thank you for such a great experience.

    "A little bit gritty"
    I know the grittiness is because of mica embedded in the pastel. Nevertheless the pastels produce rich colors. When used on art paper such as Canson Mi-Tientes, they have an iridescent look that is quite beautiful. When used on a sanded paper such as UArt 400, they look more glittery. I bought both the darks and the full set, and I am glad I did.

    "Very Iridescent"
    This is a nice set of iridescent soft pastels. I use them for accent for my watercolor paintings. Each stick does a very great job. The colors are light. They adhere to watercolor paper even without a gesso prep.
