    "Pastel premier pads and packs"
Pastel paper may be fine; but it took 4-5 months for it to be delivered once ordered.

    "Pastel Premier med. grit; buff"
Easy to work with; takes wet media and many layers of pastel. Love the warm, light color

    "Pastel Premier Paper"
I am a long time pastel student and hobbyist. Pastel Premier paper is consistent in texture and finish. The medium grit takes layers of pastel and erases without damage to the surface. My go to color is usually Italian clay, but the Terra Cotta and Slate have produced spectacular results with some color schemes.

"I love this product; wish it also came in a square format"
I appreciate your quick response to my orders.

    "Great paper!"
I have switched to Pastel Premier paper and boards, as they seem to have a far superior tooth than other brands. I used to work on Wallis paper.

    "Pastel Premier paper"
This is my go-to surface to work on. It holds multiple layers. It's easy to remove with a brush when ichange my mind. I can tint the surface with thin layer of acrylic without disturbing the grit. I just love it!

    "Great for travel"
The pad is great for travel - firm surface means an easel isn't always necessary. And I save the sleeve from the pack to protect 'finished' work. Convenience and good value!

    "Pastel Premier paper"
This is my go-to surface. I coat it with a thin acrylic color to work on (Schoolhouse yellow) . It handles many layers, up to even 6. It's easy to brush off to change an area. Fabulous

    "favorite paper"
This is the best paper to work on since Wallis went off the market. I prefer the Italian clay over the white or buff, but all are tough, sandy papers! I like my pastels dark and this is good enough for an alcohol wash, scrubbing and reworking. I use the 9x12s for plein air work and the 12x16s for competition work.

Nice medium grit. Similar to 500. Shipped as promised. Thanks Dakota. Always a great experience.

"600 grit fine premier white pastel paper"
The 600 fine grit takes many layers, I've even scrubbed off a bad pastel with a brush and water and was still able to do another pastel over this.

    "My go to pastel paper"
Pastel Premier is my go to paper. It has a nice grit but still allows for many layers and is great for finger blending.

    "Go to paper"
Since Wallace paper was discontinued, I have tried several sanded surfaces but this is my favorite! Love the tones, it takes a wash pretty well, and is just the right amount of gritty!! I started taking it out for plein air too!

    "Good quality"
This is a good quality sanded paper. I normally use Uart brand. This paper, in comparison, seems a bit finer, more delicate and can smear with loosening of the sanded surface if you use an strong hand or high percent alcohol for underpainting. I use 91% alcohol normally, but would switch to 70% or maybe water in the future. Overall, I like the paper. It lends itself to “ softer” looks. Just be aware of its limitations.

    "Wonderful Pastel paper"
Pastel Premier is excellent rag based paper with a good grit that holds many layers of pastel.

    "Love the Italian Clay color"
I enjoy this paper, no curling, holds up very well to watercolor underpainting. I have also used light alcohol washes with no problem. This color is especially great for plein air as it just fades into the background. Great quality!

    "The best"
This paper and Blue Earth pastels...got me a painting in the National Pastel Society’s MidWest show! Nuff said.

    "Haven't yet used"
I will take the sample small sheets into the field with me, and don't anticipate any issues. Being used to using Kitty Wallis paper, just handling and mounting these sheets put my mind at ease. I'm sure they'll perform!

    "Pastel Premier and Paper Sampler"
I love the PP Italian Clay. One note about paper sampler that was sent to me awhile back. I notice that the Richeson sample has been discontinued. Please don't include unavailable papers in your sample packs. Thank you.

    "Packs great, pads quite rough"
I love using pastel Premier paper packs, especially the Italian Clay color for plein air. This was my first encounter with the pads which are glued together on two sides like watercolor blocks. My only problem with the block paper is that it has been coated with a very thick substance which created textural lines vertically in the paper. Drawing across those lines gave a very textured looking line since it was difficult to get pastel down into the "grooves". I was using white colored paper since I did a watercolor underpainting, but I still had some problems with this. It is not necessarily bad but was unexpected since the description indicated it would just be premier paper glued into a block format. I was intending on using this for plein air but maybe will do more experimenting first.

    "Perfect for travel"
Worked great for traveling and fit into my suitcase, just what I needed.
