I never thought I would love the Rembrandt pastels as much as I do. I love their consistency and their sharp edges for finer linear marks. Plus, this set offers such a wonderful variety of colors. I'm extremely pleased with my purchase.

I've used Rembrandt half sticks before and really enjoy them! They're wonderful for base layers and blend beautifully. I was very excited to see this set on sale! The variety of colors in the half stick 120 set provides a ton of warm and cool tones. These are often my go to for the initial under painting and first layer.

These pastels are wonderful. They are easy to work with and the colors are very sharp. I like to buy half’s because most of my full sticks end up being broken in half. I recommend highly.

I just rediscovered Rembrandt pastels with the little 5 color sets. This set could be used to paint anything. The selection of colors covers almost anything I could think of to paint. The pastels are not too hard and can be used to cover an area quickly. Very happy with this set!!!

This set of half stick by Rembrandt is an excellant travel set. I have used Rembrandt pastels for 25 years. I like the harder quality of this brand for the type of work I do. I have bought this set three times over the years. It is a good started set for artist looking for a good quality at a good price.

Before ordering these Rembrandt pastels I reviewed other artists and their opinions on these pastels. All reviews were positive and some were glowing. I agree with the glowing, these are now my default pastels. Because of the vast colors that I now have (120) I use these as my base layer. I will still use my Sennelier for highlights and deep shadows as a top layer, but these Rembrandt make that less necessary.

Rembrandt pastel was the first full set I bought in the early 1980s. Some of the colors were too hard to easily lay down. Fast forward to now and I learned some formulations have changed to alleviate that problem. The half sticks are perfect for anyone wanting a medium soft pastel. The pigmentation is good, and they lie down well on any type of pastel paper. The numbering system on full sticks makes teaching color theory to beginners very easy. My only complaint is the half sticks have no identification of what each hue may be. A written directory on the box top or separate paper in the box would be very useful for when the time comes to order a full stick.

Great product at a very fair sale price. I love Rembrandt pastels for my base work in my pastel paintings. This set has all the colors and tones I need.

What a deal! Packaged well. Just wish the colors were listed in larger type that I can read. I had to use magnifier to get the colors off the side of the box to make my color samples. It was worth it for the price! Thank you and you have great customer service!

I used them today. I decided I would use them for the entire painting. they worked very well. the colors were good especially for the Hostas I was painting. I enjoyed them.

These are work horses--not too soft or too hard for most work. They are nicely pigmented.

Good sale. Opened the up and used immediately. Love these
