I am so happy with this set of pastels. The colors are so vibrant and the soft texture makes them so easy to work with. I’m new to working with this medium and had a fairly limited collection so when these arrived, I was thrilled.

It so convenient to have so many color variations organized and easily transportable.

I'm very pleased with the product. It was like Christmas time, opening up the box and seeing all those beautiful colors. I'll be putting them to good use here pretty soon.

This set has been recommended by artists / teachers I follow on line, and I have been thinking about buying it for a long time. Finally went ahead and glad I did. I have a lot of pastels already, but the variety and quality of this set is excellent. I have other sets focusing on darks and neutrals.

The Sennelier Paris Collection pastel set is the best value out there to start a collection of pastels. There is a broad range of reds, greens, blues, neutrals, oranges, browns, purples---you name it. I have purchased this set twice---first, when I was just starting with pastels, and second, to replenish.

There's everything to love and nothing to hate about this set. If you are looking for a good variety of colors for landscapes, this is a great set to o buy. No complaints from me. I'm simply in love with the Paris collection.

I absolutely love the Sennelier 120 Half Paris pastels set. At this point, I've purchased 4 or 5 sets, and might even buy more. I've given them to beginners, broken them up for different pochade boxes, and just bought another set for myself to carry into the field with minimal equipment.

this is my first time using Sennelier pastels. My first impression is that the colors are fantastically intense and clear, and except for a few specific colors, they apply incredibly smoothly, When I introduce a new "tool" into my studio, I keep the set intact, so that I can learn the specific qualities of the pastels. I am already finding that the Sennelier pastels are becoming a "reach for first" part of my pallet.

Beautiful set! The pastels are soft and glide on without crumbling at all. There is a good range of values and the colors are vibrant.

Very impressed with this collection of half sticks. Sennelier did not disappoint with this set. Buttery soft. Perfect for someone who wants to pack a pochade box and have everything they need for a plein air or easel session.

I love my new Sennelier half sticks! They came perfectly in tact with none broken. My only minor complaint is that one of the pastels is quite a bit short of a half stick.

Loving my new Senneliers. I purchased a set of 80 for my first "nice pastels" two years ago, and I have thoroughly enjoyed them. So I was delighted to find such a great deal on the Paris set of 120 half sticks! The Senneliers are so very soft and go on so easily. I love using them, especially for my finishing strokes. You really can't go wrong with this set!

I am pleased with the variety and range of colors. I loved the buttery quality but some of the colors fall apart when taking them out of the foam protection. There seems to be a few colors that are so hard with pumice to to use on a smoother surface. I was disappointed in the quality control with some of the extruded pieces having big air pockets or holes in the sticks. Not all of the sticks are the same size in length as well! They were a good value since I got them on special. I was disappointed I didn’t get an inventory chart like you get with Terry Ludwigs! Some of the colors were substituted and with no numbers stamped on the pastels, I had to go to the Dakota website and try to guess what color the substitutes actually were. Some did not match my beginner set. Not sure how I would reorder a favorite color if I don’t know the correct number! It is a great addition to my pastels, filling areas of color and value I did not have! The colors are so vibrant!

colors are great, softness is wonderful but along with the softness comes the fact that half a pastel is used just for one painting - they are very powdery

These are the first Senneliers I ever tried. The color range is very good. Some drawback is, that a couple of sticks ( 5-6) are so hard, that have to be replaced with other brand softer sticks. Some sticks are really soft. But, regarding to the reasonable price, and the nice pastel papers as an extra gift, I am happy with this set.

Love their soft and creamy application as well as the combination of bright and neutral colors.

These pastels seem perfect - what to measure other pastels - I am still learning the pastel game but these are a game changer from what I can tell - you will love them!

I was pleasantly surprised by the sensitive and responsive way the pastels worked. It was like the pastel colors came from my fingertips. Wonderful flow and just the right amount of pastel grabbed the surface I am using. I highly recommend these pastels.

Just love these pastels. Soft and easy to use in a final application. Also, I love how these are broken into warm verses cool colors and it makes it easier to learn and grow as an artist new to this medium. Love, love, love them. Additionally, because this is the 1/2 pastel, easier to hold and economical for those on a budget!

Wow, what a great set this is! It has the brights, the darks, the lights, and all the inbetweens. I love skies and water, so I've been looking for a set with a lot of blues and greens. This set is just perfect for landscape, flowers, and probably portraits as well,

As a beginner wanting to get my feet wet with soft pastels, I needed a set that would get me mostly stocked up on colors, and I really wanted this one. My first picture with this set came out really stunning. That said, I notice that this set has a few weaknesses. One is that there are few, if any, purples and blue-greens. There is also a lack of light colors. There are a great many browns and earth colors, which is a plus, but they are all very dark. I am supplementing this set with single colors that address these deficiency. The Blue Earth Nomad set has practically everything this set lacks, if your budget will handle it.

I like Intenseness of these pastels for my finishing marks. This is is a nice set for beginners and professionals alike. There is some inconsistencies with texture within the darker colors but the lighter ones are buttery smooth and silky. Yummy!

Wanted so long to be able to purchase my first Sennelier set and I received a bargain with your company lowest prices anywhere.

The black one seems to be to hard and harder than the other colors.
