I have other sets of Terry Ludwigs and they are used in almost every piece I do. I have been wanting to add a square form light pastel set to my palette for sometime, these are perfect!

I am a new pastel artist (3 years) so I’m gradually growing my inventory. This set basically replaced the small Rembrandt lights set that I purchased over a year ago. I love using Terry’s pastels. The piece size, shape, texture, smooth application makes using them a dream. My only comment is the unnecessary large size of the set. The differences among the selection are so subtle that the set could be paired down to maybe 20 pieces. This would make it more accessible to those with limited budgets.

I am very happy with my purchase - pastels in this high key value range were largely missing from my palette until I purchased this set... The order was delivered quickly with all pastels intact. Thank you Dakota Pastels!

I purchased the light set, even though the suggestion was for the darks.....maybe next time. So far, so good. I just wish they weren't SO expensive.

What can anyone say about Terry Ludwig pastels. Love the the size the, the shape. They go on like butter and I love his true lights which we all need. A must for me!

Oh My God!! I’ve always been taught to be sparing with the use of actual white. This set- when you make a mark using the lights, it just makes the piece SING! They are so incredibly light- the viewer’s eye just has to take pause there. Excellent investment!!!

What can I say about Ludwig pastels? They are superior. I would like to add though that I think you’ll find a mix of other brands is a plus. I find them a bit larger than most pastels in their range when comparing. The colors are rich and lay down so nicely. I find they easily cover over other colors when building layers. Well worth the expense. They are between a unison and a blue earth or den elite. Soft and creamy yet somewhat firm and beefy. Pretty amazing really. Must have! And the subtle color changes are amazing.

Such lovely, subtle lights. They enhance my pastels immensely.

These look good, I am looking forward to using them

True to its reputation these pastels are rich and buttery. However they are so soft that when I opened the box from shipping there were a lot of broken pieces and crumbs and crumbles. But they are worth it and I’m using even the small pieces.
