I am so pleased with my Price Basic Values set. The package arrived on the day it was supposed to arrive. The pastels were in perfect condition thanks to the care given by the people at Dakota who know how to ship these fragile pastels. My experience with Dakota and Terry Ludwig has been wonderful. These pastels are expensive but they are well worth the price. I will definitely be buying from Dakota again.

Each name-brand of professional soft pastels possess its own great qualities. The set of Terry Ludwig basic values (Price), blew me away. I LOVE these pastels! Color, saturation, texture - I’m not searching for my favorite anymore.

These beautiful well-made pastels arrived quickly and unbroken. Good job Dakota Art. They are the same price as when I go to the Ludwig factory in Highlands Ranch Colorado where you can see them being made.

This Terry Ludwig set offers the range of values from light to dark in each color category, just what I was looking for. Great starter set or to fill in the missing values of your colors.

I bought this set to use for plein air painting. It has a good array of hues and values so was perfect. As usual, Dakota shipped safely and quickly! Very happy with my purchase!

I LOVE these pastels! I made a nice little extra commission and decided to treat myself. I mostly use UNISON with some Sennelier and a few other good brands, so I am not comparing them to substandard pastels! These go on very smoothly and with such vibrancy. I can't wait to paint a picture with them. I think I will keep them in their nice box with the foam for a while. The value 'set-up' is very nice

I am somewhat new to pastels and have been using mostly Sennelier (love the colors, not crazy about the tendency to crumble).. I discovered Terry Ludwig pastels through many different artists' recommendations. Yes, they are expensive but wow, are they lovely. I love the square shape, the colors are rich and lay down well. I am addicted! This set is a great basic set with a nice range of values and colors which I highly recommend as a first set. Note - there are no grays in this set (so of course I had to buy the gray set too!) If you want to treat yourself to something that will inspire your painting, invest in these!

You can never go wrong with Terry Ludwigs, they are top quality, beautiful vibrant colours! Dakota staff are so meticulous they packed my new set and it arrived safely a week later in Canada, not one broken stick. Thank you Dakota you guys are the best!

Terry Ludwig's pastels are the finest I've ever used. The colors are magnificent and they feel like butter. I've put away all my other pastels.

My first set of of Terry Ludwigs and they are amazing , colours are vibrant , selection is perfect. Pastels were securely packed and came intact and I was overjoyed with little samples of Uart and Pastel premier papers to try . Thank you I am impressed with product and service
