    "Townsend Darks"
    I really like these Diane Townsend darks. They are soft and go on paper with good coverage but do not crumble or break apart like some of my softer pastels. I really like how they work as darkest area of painting and I do not have to press hard. Also great for underpainting with alcohol.

    Really rich darks. Love the grit in them that helps cut into where you need darks tweaked some in final stages, but dealing with tooth saturation of support.
