NEW! BLUE EARTH NOMAD SET OF 56 COLORS
A new set from Blue Earth pastels – a mixed ‘Nomad’ Travel set of 56 colors. Color selection in this set (as in all the Blue Earth products) is based on hue, value and intensity. Seven color families are included and divided into Bright and Desaturated groups of four values each. The result is a compact, lightweight (1lb. 4oz.) set suitable for any painting venue.
The durable box can be used as its own travel painting set-up. The lid provides a sturdy 6”x 8” painting surface and the unique vertical insertion of pastel sticks provides maximum number of sticks in a small space. Whether you are getting this set as a stand-alone painting set, as an addition to your existing pastel collection or as your first time trying the Blue Earth pastels in a set, you won’t be disappointed! Carol Ann M.01/29/2024 06:37"Beautiful Set"So far I've only used the set to create a sampler of the set contents. I love the layout of the sticks, it will make value choices so much easier. I must admit I prefer my sticks stored horizontally as opposed to the vertical arrangement of the box, but that's the only thing I'm not thrilled with. The values are well chosen and the hues beautiful. I really love the softness of these pastels, they glide on so easily and blend well. It's also nice the sticks are squared off giving all those wonderful sharp edges to facilitate edgy mark making. I look forward to really diving into the set's use in February when i'll be involved in a 29 paintings in 29 days challenge where I plan on using them exclusively. Will be a great addition to my studio and so easy and compact to take Plein Air. I'm very glad I bought them!
