8-Ply Boards are approximately 1/8” thick for extra strength and stability producing a VERY substantial painting surface. The paper is mounted to the edge of the boards (no border) on the 8-ply. Best for plein air use and mounting directly into matless frames! Boards can be cut with a mat knife to other sizes. I have made use of these luxArchival pastel
Panels this past week. The surface is so wonderful to work on for applying under paintings and putting the soft pastel over the top. These panels are one of my favorites and I highly recommend them to my students and other pastel artists.
