"Marine," a Box Designed for Painting the Sea

The Marine composition , made up of 50 pastels, reflects Richard's chromatic universe: a wide range of marine blues and greens to convey the transparency of the water, blue-greys and slate for changing skies, and warm accents (peaches, ochres, coral) that act as small notes of light on the surface of the water or for the beaches.

This selection allows for both quick outdoor studies and more elaborate studio pieces, while offering the necessary palette for the effects of reflections, sea spray, and subtle nuances that are Suckling's signature (inspired by his demonstrations and workshops).

Note the use of his favorite color: Blue Gray 419, which he loves so much!
