"My favorite pastel paper"
I absolutely love La Carte pastel paper. It's my go to for everything that doesn't need a wet underpainting. I love how its surface grabs the pastel and allows layers and layers. It's grit is truly amazing - it's feels organic and has a slight irregularities which really appeals to me (quite different from the manufactured uniformity of UART).
