"Pastel Premier are fantastic grounds for pastels."
I have been using this paper for a while now and it has Pastelmat and Lux archival beat by a mile. Much less expensive, excellent quality, with plenty of tooth for those "redos" in areas of a painting that did not come out the way you wished. Love the colors, too. Italian Clay is my favorite.

"Great sanded paper"
I’ve been using this for years. It’s a little less gritty than some other nice sanded papers, but takes lots of layers and fun to work with.

"Excellent paper"
This is a wonderful sanded paper. I love the Italian clay and slate the best. However, I purchased the White version and apply Gouache for my own colors. There is plenty of tooth left after the Gouache goes on so no need to worry. I have not tried to use alcohol or other solvents on the paper, just water. The Pastel Premier does not buckle at all. This is my go to paper from now on.
