I started using this brand 3 years ago from a workshop I took and the instructor used them Christine Debrosky. Love their colors and the rich soft feel it leaves.

At last I can recommend a pastel set for landscape that has the color range and density my students need. No set is perfect but this set comes close, especially with its sky blues, warm greens and earth hues. This stick is softer than the other Richeson pastel lines, so lays down much better color without overfilling the paper. The size is perfect for a workshop set, and the price brings it into the feasible range for beginners. My only complaint is that the sticks have paper wrappers which must be removed. I tried Richeson's handrolled line last year and it has become one of my favorites, with a mind-boggling color range of open stock which takes some time to understand. The value indication for each stick is very helpful. I would love to see a smaller colorwheel half stick set with four-five values of each primary,secondary, tertiary, warm and cool neutrals, no more than 80 sticks.
