ART SPECTRUM COLOURFIX OPTIMUM PASTEL BOARD

The NEW Art Spectrum Colourfix Optimum Board is an archival, acid and lignin free substrate. This unique board is internally strengthened with a super thin layer of aluminium that prevents warping and provides an amazingly light, yet extremely durable surface.

Colourfix Primer is hand screen-printed directly onto the board, thus eliminating any possibility of delamination. The robust, toothy surface will hold multiple layers of pastel allowing the velvet bloom and vibrant colour of the pastel medium to be preserved.

Currently available in six lightfast colours, it is a superb substrate for pastels and will allow under painting with oil colours, acrylics, inks, gouache and watercolor. Boards are 3/16” thick and measure 16” x 20” (coated area 15” x 19”). They are ready to be framed with no backing board required.
