Pastel Premier has been my go-to surface for many years. The ability to layer is unmatched in my opinion, and consistency is reassuring. They offer several colors and a variety of sizes in packs and in single sheets which is great for teaching too!

I work on white so this is good for me. It comes in sizes that I use and the tooth is good for me and it is relatively easy to erace when needed. It also has a good weigth.

"Pastel premier sheets"
It is my alltime favorite! It allows multiple layers. I put a thin coat of bright orange acrylic on it as a underpinning. Still has plenty of grit. I like it better than any other brands I have tried.
